Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent makeup. Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness.
Lip blushing can help if you’d like to achieve more symmetry and tone. Your provider will likely help you choose a natural-looking pigment for your treatment
Immediately following the procedure, lips may feel dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch. Apply ointment on lips several times a day. This should be done for at least 10 days post treatment.
Six weeks after your initial lip blush appointment, you can go back for a touch up to fill in any light or uneven spots.
After touch up, the lip blush tattoo will last from approximately two to five years. Everyone’s skin is different, so the staying time will vary from client to client.
Your provider will apply a numbing product to your lips beforehand to help minimize pain and discomfort. The lower your pain tolerance, the more discomfort you might feel. However, some people may not feel much pain at all.
