Laser Hair Removal:

  • No sun exposure for 3 weeks prior to treatment
  • No alcohol consumption 24 hours pre and post treatment
  • Do not use deodorant, serums, moisturizers or self tanning lotions or sprays before treatment
  • You may take a mild pain reliever such as Tylenol prior to treatment (NO ADVIL OR ASPIRIN)
  • If there is any hair in the treatment area, please shave prior to treatment (Do not tweeze or wax)
  • Avoid exercise, saunas, hot tubs.
  • Avoid sunbeds, and strong sunlight for 72 hours post treatment and then use of SPF 30 or more on treated area is imperative
  • Your following appointment will be scheduled for 6-8 weeks and therefore you must be out of the sun for at least 3 weeks before your scheduled appointment time. If there is an active tan in the treatment area, you skin care professional will re-schedule your appointment.

For the best outcome:

We recommend 6-8 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart for the face and 6-8 weeks for the body.

When can I expect to see results?

Hair growth is reduced after each treatment. The number of treatments required will be based on your hair colour, hair type, body area and skin tone.

Is hair removal with ElosPlus Vantage right for me?

Both men and women can achieve permanent hair reduction on almost all body areas. Only ElosPlus Vantage is proven to remove lighter coloured hair on all skin tones. To achieve a successful outcome on lighter hair colours, more treatments may be needed compared to darker hair colours.

Does it hurt?

Cooling of the skin surface as well as constant measurement of the skin’s resistance ensures safety and comfort during treatment. This is a no-downtime procedure. Many patients return to normal activities immediately after treatment.

Downtime:

We advise against exercising or sweating for the first 24hrs, or doing anything that draws heat to the area (i.e. hot-tub, sun, sauna, hot yoga).
